Let's Talk BoozeScotch. Good scotch. Peat bog and dead bodies varieties. Oban is what you'll find in my house.
Bourbon. Knob Creek and Makers are fine. Straight up or in a Manhattan. If I have to pick a favorite, it's bourbon. Yes, I am from Kentucky. Coincidence.
Tequila. No, not that crap, gringo. Patron Silver, and take your time with it. Or the stuff in a jug everyone seems to carry in Oaxaca.
Sake. Momokawa Pearl does me right, but I'm not too picky. I'm open to suggestions. I recently tried a pear sake that was mighty tasty.
Guinness. Nothing else is really beer.
A perfect vodka martini is one of life's greatest gifts. Don't let anyone tell you that fooling around with gin is okay. It isn't.

Matt and The Deuce visited last weekend. I miss them both - - t h i s m u c h - - and it was wonderful to spend time with them again face-to-face. We had a little sake party at my place along with Scott, Nicole, Almost Baby Dierdorf, and Jo.The Deuce took a picture of the party in progress. I am either drunk on sake, or doing a passable happy Buddha impersonation, you be the judge.
