I am officially a filmmaker

My friend Scott and I did a film for this year's Stockstock film festival. Like all Stockstock films, it is made up of clips from old stock footage -- re-mixed, re-edited, and re-born. Scott has kindly made a quicktime version of our film available online, here: Hard Times. Ho sucka!

My friend Jake finally updated. So if you don't normally click on his link, above, you should now. He has invented a new movie-quality measuring tool (that Scott is going to love) called the "suck modulus." I love it. I may be doing the math wrong, though, because according to my calculations (which I double checked with Compu-Ape and The Blue Ninja) Reloaded comes in with a suck modulus of .000000000001, beating all other works of cinema by a significant margin. The Blue Ninja claims that the number "looks about right" but what the fuck does he know? If it ain't about stabbin' or throwing stars, he don't know jack.

We played a very fun game of Universalis last night. It was a 1970's detective story called Foxy Noir. Check out the write up here:

Foxy Noir

We plan to do part two in a few weeks. Stay tuned.
