Art Update:
The Universalis people want to use my contest entry as a poster for Gencon (the big, national gaming convention) and as the cover for the next printing of the game (tweaked to be cover-friendly, of course). So, I consider this a win regardless of how the art contest comes out.

After doing the Universalis image, I was inspired to do some similar treatments for my other favorite indie rpgs. They took the form of desktops after someone on The Forge forum suggested just that. And here they are: Indie RPG Desktops. I'm very happy with how the Trollbabe image turned out, given the fact that the original stock photo of the woman was entirely nude and had totally different hair.

New Photo Series: Our Friends
Recently, one of our friends was kind enough to let me photograph him. He's normally quite shy, and I was honored that he trusted me enough to capture him on film. If this goes well, perhaps more of our friends will allow me to shoot them as well.

Sundry says "jump" and I say "how high?" (or, sometimes "over what?"). So, like a faithful hound (with remarkable typing skills) here's my blog entry, as requested. I did a new photoshop piece recently for an online contest. A (very cool) roleplaying game called Universalis is having an art contest based on the correct pronunciation of their game title: "universe alice." The idea is to do a piece that captures the spirit of the game (which is about cooperative storytelling and exploration) while also poking fun at the "universe alice" bit.

Here's my entry. You can visit the contest page at the Universalis site if you're dying to see the other entries. As of today, they haven't put my entry up yet, but Ralph says it will happen "with the next update."

Today's entry is brought to you by the letters U, A, and S... and by the quote symbol (") who really had to do too much work.
